How to clear a congested head?

My head has been congested for a few days but my nose isn't runny or anything like that. I've been getting earaches and other aches mainly in my left arm and hand (i'm left handed). Random spots on my head have been hurting, like a throbbing feeling on my forehead and in the back of my head. I have a slight cough, and have been spitting up a lot of mucus. How can I make it stop?
